Mr Desmond Chow, IMDA-appointed speaker

Desmond Chow is a Director of P2D Solutions Pte Ltd, the first Data Protection and PDPA compliance consultancy and advisory service to obtain the Data Protection Trustmark Certification. Due to its experience and track record, P2D Solutions has been appointed by IMDA to support industry engagement efforts in raising awareness and promoting compliance of the PDPA.

Desmond has been in the Data Protection and PDPA compliance space since 2015. Prior to this, he worked as a financial consultant for more than 10 years. He has advised more than 100 organisations in the areas of Data Protection and PDPA Compliance and is also the appointed Data Protection Officer for several companies, including several publicly listed companies and local subsidiaries of multi-national companies.

Desmond holds the International Association of Privacy Professionals’ Certified Information Privacy Manager (“CIPM”) and Certified Information Privacy Technologist (“CIPT”) qualifications.

Marilyn Thng drives the marketing campaigns for the Data Protection Certifications in IMDA and works closely with certified organisations to better understand the benefits brought about by the certifications. She believes any organisation could benefit from the Data Protection Certifications by setting itself apart with robust data protection standards that strengthen customer trust and increase competitive advantage.

Ms Lim Ee Lin, Senior Assistant Director, Cyber Security Programme Centre (CSPC), CSA

Lim Ee Lin is currently the Senior Assistant Director at the Cyber Security Agency (CSA) of Singapore, leading the Government and People & Enterprise clusters of Cybersecurity Programme Centre (CSPC), whom is responsible for securing government networks and systems; and implement programmes to enable digitalisation for a resilient nation.

Prior to her current employment, she has served in the Singapore Armed Forces. She also worked in Defence Science Technology Agency (DSTA) and various system integrators (SI) like NCS Pte Ltd; Singapore Technologies Engineering Ltd (STE). She has over 20 years of experience in network systems, radio communications, telecommunications and satellite communications before moving into cybersecurity domain.
