The Privacy Awareness Week (PAW) is an initiative by the Asia Pacific Privacy Authorities held every year to promote awareness of privacy issues and the protection of personal data. Activities are held across the Asia Pacific region by APPA members.

This year, Singapore joins Australia, Canada, Colombia, Hong Kong, Korea, Macau, Mexico, New Zealand, Peru and the United States to promote the theme "Privacy matters at any age".

Whether you are schooling, working or retired, it is important to take an active approach when it comes to protecting your personal data. Always ask why your personal data is being collected, used or disclosed, and only give consent if you feel comfortable doing so.
