A financial penalty of $8,000 was imposed and directions were issued to Matthew Chiong Partnership for breaches of the PDPA. The organisation did not make reasonable security arrangements to prevent the unauthorised disclosure of its clients’ personal data and failed to put in place data protection policies to comply with the provisions of the PDPA.
