Privacy Awareness Week (PAW), an initiative by the Asia Pacific Privacy Authorities (APPA), is an annual event aimed at promoting awareness of privacy and personal data protection issues. This May, we embark on a journey to strengthen data protection in Singapore.

Navigating Personal Data Protection and Data Breaches

In December 2023, at least 10 Singapore companies allegedly suffered data breaches, according to threat intelligence platform FalconFeeds.io. Data breach is no longer a question of “if” but “when”. Board directors have to address personal data protection and the potential impact of data breaches on their organisations.

In this interactive workshop presented by SID and Infocomm Media Development Authority, industry experts will provide insights into how guidelines by the Personal Data Protection Commission can help companies prevent and manage data breaches. At the session, participants will experience a data breach simulation to better prepare them to face such incidents at the board level.

He enjoys imparting and exchanging his infocomm know-how with technical professionals and also business users/stake holders.
