Personal Data Protection Seminar 2017

Returning for the fifth year, the 2017 Personal Data Protection (PDP) Seminar follows the theme of "A Trusted Ecosystem for Data Innovation"

With a lineup of leading local and international regulatory and industry speakers, this year's seminar will be a full-day event, featuring two panel discussions in the morning, followed by - for the first time - concurrent workshops and exhibition showcases in the afternoon.

The panels aim to stimulate discussions on how emerging technologies can be enablers of an environment for responsible and trusted use and sharing of data, and the various efforts and mechanisms that are in place to facilitate cross-border data flows in the digital economy. The workshops will provide guidance on good practices that organisations can develop as part of their accountability approach, such as data protection management programme and soft skills in mediation.
