The inaugural Singapore Data Festival (SDF) will be held from 20th to 24th July 2026 at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands. Targeted at data professionals and business leaders, participants can expect discussions around privacy and AI, the value of data and how to use data effectively, and how privacy enhancing technologies (PETs) can protect data while leveraging it to unlock business value.

With the rapid adoption of AI, more companies are now collecting and using personal data for insights and delivery of goods and services. To empower companies to use data responsibly while leveraging data to generate business value, the Personal Data Protection Commission (PDPC) and Infocomm Media and Development Authority (IMDA) of Singapore have evolved the Personal Data Protection Week (PDP) Week into the new Singapore Data Festival.

To help companies navigate today’s data economy effectively and safely, the Festival will focus on these three key discussion areas:

Building trust in Singapore’s data ecosystem through upholding and strengthening data protection practices and standards
Equipping companies to innovate and use data responsibly through privacy enhancing technologies (PETs) while safeguarding citizens’ personal data
Normalising of digital responsibility in this era of fast-moving AI enabled technology

Participants can look forward to hearing from luminaries in the privacy and AI sectors, such as Mr Nimish Panchmatia (Chief Data and Transformation Officer, DBS Bank), Mr Markham Cho (Vice President, Government Affairs and Public Policy, Centres of Excellence, Google) and Mr Royce Wee (Privacy and Data Policy Director, APAC Advocacy, Meta). They can also participate in sessions to learn more about the latest regulatory developments, understand governance frameworks, and gain practical guidance on PETs and AI. The Singapore Data Festival will also have a curated suite of partner events spanning data governance, AI cybersecurity and sector specific regulation and guidance.
